April was an exciting month for MEG. Wayne Todd, who has been MEG’s projects coordinator for the last five years, welcomes Jonty Rutherford to take over this role.

Jonty grew up in the upper Coromandel peninsula, living at Stony Bay, Colville and Coromandel, before entering his career in TV production and media in Auckland. He has a keen interest in ecology and native species and habitat protection and has a home in Waitete Bay where he had been involved in pest control work. Wayne will continue in MEG’s many projects and educational programmes while Jonty takes up his position in May.
